    When the property was bought twenty years ago just after it was built the TP1 document stipulated that no external building work could be done to the property within a 5 year period. We put in the offer based on the fact that we saw development potential with the property and want to build an extension subject to planning permission. Can we get this clause removed from the TP1 document when we exchange?

    Not easily but if it only prevents development within the first 5 years, and that 5 year period has elapsed, then I'm afraid I don't see the problem?
