• Declaration of Trust

    £4.99

Where two parties purchase a property jointly they will sometimes want to set out certain agreements, such as what percentage of the equity each party is entitled to, who should be responsible for the outgoings, what happens if one party decides they want to sell etc. in writing to help avoid uncertainty or future disagreement. This can be important where the parties are making unequal contributions to the price or where the purchase is by two or more parties who are not romantic partners, such as friends or business partners. In these circumstances it is a good idea to draw up a declaration of trust. Our template is intended to assist with this by providing the basic framework as well as some suggestions as to the sorts of clauses to include. It will of course need to be tailored to meet individual needs.
