• Leasehold Example Enquiries

    £9.99

When the property is leasehold, particularly if it is a flat, it will be necessary to raise certain enquiries with the landlord for the benefit of the buyer dealing with such matters as how much service charge is payable, whether the rent is up to date, whether there have been any disputes with tenants etc. The buyer may raise the enquiries via the seller's conveyancer or the seller's conveyancer may raise his own set of standard enquiries. Either way they will need to be answered by the landlord or managing agent. Although they may need to be adapted to suit the specific transaction, these sample enquiries should cover all of the major points that a buyer's conveyancer would expect a seller's conveyancer to deal with.
