• Mortgage Offer Expired On Purchase

By Guest on 11th Sep 2019

    Purchase case:
My mortgage expired yesterday and a new application is being made today with the same lender by my mortgage broker. Can I expect my solicitor to keep obtaining responses to enquiries until the new offer comes in. This is to say - could they get enquiries satisfied then agree on exchange as soon as they receive the offer? Presumably the gap between application won’t disrupt the process.

Yes, they can do most of the work while waiting for the new offer. However, they will need to review the new offer, ask anything relevant to the instructions received on that offer, and report to the lender if necessary once the new offer has been received.
