    How do you go about legally buying land from my parents and them acting as the bank and we pay a mortgage every month to them?

    They need to sign a transfer deed (TR1 if you are getting the whole of the title and TP1 if you are getting part) in your favour and then you sign a legal charge in their favour which is registered against the title. You should get a solicitor to draw up the paperwork and you and your parents can't use the same solicitor but it's reasonably straightforward
