• Unregistered Land In The Middle Of Our Back Garden

By Guest on 07th Nov 2020

We are selling our house that we've owned for five years and we have just found out that a tiny section of our back garden, approx four square feet, is unregistered land. This is the first we've learned of this and the unregistered section is right in the middle of our garden. The property is 140 years old and the garden is surrounded by an 8 feet talk stone wall that has been in situ for at least 50+ years. How has this happend, and why was it never brought to light when we purchased the house? More importantly, how do we resolve it so not to jeopardise our sale?
