• Transfer Of Property

    Hi need some advice I'm recently divorced and have had to transfer my part of the property to my x. The problem the house is part rent part buy we jointly owned 50% so if got to transfer my 25% to her the house has a lease. If filled in the tr1 from and Id form and sent it of to the convaencer acting on her behalf. I'm now told that they will not process the application because she cannot find the lease.
    I was not aware that the lease was required? Is this accurate do the land registry have to have the lease to process the application? If tyres several times to locate the lease myself but know one has it not the land registry , mortgage lender or solicitors. I'm at a loss and can't get a straight answer from anyone. Also all relevant party's have given consent to transfer. So I need to know a: Is it true she needs the lease before she can send off her part of the application. B: if it is what can be done about a lost lease?
