• Land Access

By Guest on 04th Mar 2020

    Hello.
Our local housing association are planning to build an 8m high dwelling on there land at the bottom of our garden and have denied us access to the adjoining land but for a fee of £102 per annum would allow us access. Our Land Registry states we gave the right to access the land for repair and maintenance of our property. Should we pay or fight for our rights.

That is entirely up to you. You ought to speak to a conveyancer in the first instance who can assess your title deeds and establish exactly what rights you do and don't have. What they are proposing is that they grant you a licence, which can be revoked at any time. A proper legal easement would be better for you.
