• Evidence Of Id Required For A Shared Freeholder In A Freehold Transfer

By Guest on 27th Mar 2021

Context : My sister is selling her flat in London which is covered by a joint freehold agreement with the other freeholder flat owner downstairs. The other freeholder is a UK citizen who lives in Australia. The other freeholder has completed all the necessary forms LP1, TR1, ID1 but will not provide all the information on a full driving licence. He has provided a driving licence with photo but with the licence number redacted (fearing identity fraud). My sisters conveyancers have said that he must provide a full licence or get a notary certification. He states that his redacted licence is enough in law and asks for the conveyancers to prove in law that this is not enough.
Question : Now leaving aside the somewhat bizare nature of this situation, where in law does it clearly state that a full driving licence is needed?

PS My sister is at wits end with this dialogue
