• Does This Convent Apply If I Own The Property Freehold?

As the freehold owner of the property do I need to seek approval due to the following convent? Or does this not apply since there is no longer a lease?
'The lessee or occupier of any site shall not make any alterations of additions to the outside of the dwellinghouse for the time being thereon except in accordance with plans and specifications previously approved in writing by the architect for the time being of the lessor whose fees in relation thereto shall be paid by the applicant.'

    Yes; very important.

We would need to see the title documents to provide an absolute answer but from a generalisation assuming the covenant is recorded in your property's freehold title register and not in any defunct lease, then yes it still applies.
