• Deed Of Gift

By Guest on 31st Oct 2018

My mother has bought a property and would like to make a deed of trust to allow her to continue owning half and my children the other half. I have a deed of gift form for it, but just want to know if there is anything else I need to do in order for it to be valid. Must it be registered anywhere or is it good enough to simply have it signed correctly and then kept for my records?

A deed of trust does not need to be registered at HM Land Registry to be valid, though it should be registered to enter a Form A restriction on the register to show there is a trust in place.
