• Access To Adjoining Land

By Guest on 28th Feb 2020

My land registry states that i have access to ajoining land: the right with workmen and others and with ladders and other equipment at reasonable times and on reasonable previous notice being given to the owners and occupiers therefor to enter the adjoining property of the council or its successors for the cleaning, repairing painting and maintaining of the dwelling house. Our local housing group WHG of Walsall are planning to build a 3 bedroom dwelling on there land at the rear of our property and says we have no access to this land, but our land registry says different.

You have access to repair and maintain your property (according to the information you have provided). That won't stop them building a dwelling, as long as it does not prevent you from accessing the land to maintain your property.

Thanks for your reply ,we have now received a letter from their solicitors giving us access to the adjoining land but for a fee of £102 per annum .Why should we pay for access when our land registry says different. ( free passage ).

    Regards Mr Gary Stone.
