• Withdrawing A Restriction

By Guest on 21st May 2020

    Hello,
My 2 brothers and I have placed a restriction on a property in our favour years ago. We now wish to withdraw a restriction, however my brothers are not in the country. I have a power of attorney for them. Can I sign on their behalf in the 'Consent section' of the RX4 form? What documents will I need to send to the Land Registry other than the RX4 form?
    Thank you.

I believe you should be able to, yes. I'd normally recommend giving HM Land Registry a call before any DIY conveyancing work but their telephone helplines are presently closed due to lockdown.

You will need to send them the power of attorney you sign under when you send in the application.
