• New Build House Purchase

I am buying a new build house which is leasehold I requested a TP1 form from the builder's solicitor - they replied I can confirm that a TP1 is not applicable as you are purchasing on a leasehold basis. We have a Lease on file signed by yourselves together with one signed by our client Company and the Managing Agents which will be sent to you on legal completion. Is this correct information?

    Hi,

It is correct yes. You are taking a lease of part if the builder's land rather than a transfer of part of the freehold. I should this is not the sort of transaction you should be undertaking without a solicitor.
