• TR1 Form

By Guest on 29th Mar 2023

I am buying a property off a parent and we are about to sign the TR1 Form. Am I right in thinking that the date on the TR1 Form is the date of completion? I will be signing and handing over the money for the purchase on the same day. There is no solicitor involved. We will send the forms off to the land registry as soon as the forms are signed. Even in it takes a few weeks to hear back from the land registry that shouldnt matter - the day on the TR1 Form is the day the house was bought? I ask this because the Stamp Duty changes in the next financial year, but if the money and TR1 Form has been signed in this financial year then any capital gains and stamp duty will be whatever the rates are in this financial year?
