• Property Gift Transfer

By Guest on 01st Mar 2021

My wife and I recently executed a deed of gift transfer of a buy to let property to our daughters and submitted all the relevant forms to HM Land Registry. At present there are 10 month delays in registering changes at HM Land Registry.

Is the legal transfer taken from the date when the transfer gift was executed or when it is finally enterred into the HM Register?

Should we pay the CGT owing within 30 days of the execution date of the transfer gift or from the date when HM Land Registry are finally able to enter the transfer into the register?

Be very grateful for your advice,

    James Croll.
