• Freehold With Leasehold

By Guest on 16th May 2019

Was nearing completion when my solicitor advised that the deed is not acceptable, they stated that the property is freehold but has a note of a old lease attached in favour of the previous owners to whome I'm buying from. It was explained that the current owners solicitors would need to apply to the land registry to have this removed. Today I was informed that the land registry have refused to remove this. I am awaiting further information but wondering what this means for the sale? Is there no moving forward?

There is insufficient information in the question for us to comment, sorry. This is really a question for your solicitors to answer based on reading the title documents for that particular property.
