    Is it possible to carry out a Mining search without the land owners consent. And is it possible to build a temporary structure on land that has unfavorable mining search. Regards Paul Pibworth

    You don't need the landowner's consent - the search provider using historical data and doesn't need access to the land. If the structure is one which requires building regulations approval then the adverse entries may be a factor in the inspector's decision to sign it off but otherwise yes you can, albeit at your own risk. Obviously if the structure is intended to to be occupied by members of the public then there would be health & safety issues to consider
