• False Declaration Of Form TA6 Regarding Section 4 Alterations, planning And Building Control

By Guest on 14th Sep 2015

On form Ta6 4.1 seller stated yes to building works and details of work was ' Removal of internal Non Structural Wall' in 2009. Have purchased house in July 2015 only to find on a kitchen expansion work that the wall was a structural load bearing, report just done by my own structural registered engineer. Can I claim some form of compensation to have the work done in 2009 checked and verified as safe. Thanks

You may be able to Sue your seller for misrepresentation if you suffer a loss however if you have the work checked and it is sound and the only loss you have suffered is the cost of the engineer then it may not be worth your while pursuing this through the court as it may cost you more in legal fees and you would recover
