• Building Regs For Second Toilet Not Sought

By Guest on 19th Jun 2019

If my neighbour has installed a second toilet (downstairs), with waste that empties into a shared sewer via his waste stack, with no building regs inspections, is my property likely to be affected in any way (value, sewerage concerns etc.)?

I don't know. You may wish to instruct a drainage surveyor to inspect (assuming access to the neighbour's property is not required for the survey or they grant consent to access) for a professional opinion on the sewage. With regard to valuation I would recommend you consult an estate agency but in most cases I suspect the valuation of your property would be unaffected.
