• Remortgage - No FENSA Certificate

By Guest on 17th Jul 2020

Hi, I am remortgaging and going throgh conveyancing. I had new windows and boiler installed about 5 years ago. I dont have certificate for either of them as the windows were imported from Norway. Can I use indemnity insurance for a remortgage or would a solicitor expect me to go through building regs as I currently own the house?

In most cases given the passage of time an indemnity policy would be fine, but it is up to the lawyer to make a judgement following the lender's instructions.
