• Tyneside Lease Insurance Problem

By Guest on 31st Jul 2020

Has anyone ever come across a Tyneside lease where they have to get a joint insurance policy with the other party they hate the freehold with? Trying to find out if it has to be joint or if I have the option of taking out a single policy. Other party is refusing to take out a joint policy.

I would recommend discussing with an insurance broker.

Generally with a single block you would need to insure it under a single policy (Tyneside leases are where the freeholder of one flat is the leaseholder of the other so you have two properties within the block).

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately the other party is refusing to take out a joint policy. It’s an absolute nightmare. Just refuses point blank to do it.
