• Do Leaseholders Have To Be Informed If The Propert Is Sold

By Guest on 28th May 2020

I am a joint executor of a estate where one of the properties is a leasehold appartment. both myself and the other executor had our names put onto the lease. the other executor has sold the property without telling me. should I have been consulted I have not been asked to sign anything.

If you were both named on the legal title you would have both needed to sign the transfer deed so either you were not on the legal title or the other executor committed fraud. I would advise having a property litigation solicitor check the registers and enquire with the other side to find out what transpired.
