• Freeholder Refuses To Sign LPE1

By Guest on 22nd Mar 2017

I am near to exchange of contracts on the sale of my leasehold property. The freeholder is refusing to sign the LPE1, as he has now decided that he might want to employ a managing agent.
This will cause me to lose my buyer. This is the second time this has happened. Previously landlord put totally incorrect and false info on this form and buyer pulled out. Is there anything we can do. Freeholder is not prepared to make any compromise.
    We are not in dispute.
Has anyone had this situation before? Can offer any solutions please.
    Any info gratefully received

Sue him for damages. Ask your solicitor to take some action.
