The vendor of the house I am purchasing has inserted the wrong price on the contract. We have signed and exchanged..is the price legally binding on both parties or can the vendor break the contract and insist on the originally agreed price

    Hi,

Strictly speaking it is binding though if the seller can demonstrate that the wrong price was entered as a result of an honest mistake and can show that a different price was intended by all parties he may have an equitable remedy.
