• Section 157 And Remortgage

By Guest on 18th Dec 2018

    Hello,
We have lived in our property 6 years and completed the Section 157 agreement when we purchased it. We have remortgaged since and the S157 was not mentioned. We are now trying to remortgage again and the council have stated that we must pay £120 plus vat in order to release the hold relating to S157. However we don't need to prove that we have lived in the county for 3 yrs etc. Does anyone know if this is right for them to charge us?

We double barreled our surname recently as we married. Could this be the reason why?

    Thank you
    Debs
