• Splitting Title Questions

    My husband owns a farmhouse in which he lived from 2005 and his wife left him and I moved in in 2008. The farmhouse has 40 acres and barns that had permission for conversion to a residential dwelling. We went through the hoops and did the conversion and now live in the Barn conversion and let the farmhouse out as a holiday let. We would like to now split the Titles and both be on the unmortgaged barn conversion., How would you suggest we approach this. The farmhosue would return 12 acres and the rest would go with the barn conversion.

    You will need to do a transfer of the barn conversion from your husband to you and your husband. You will need to use form TP1. If there is a mortgage on the farmhouse you will need the consent of the lender
