• Selling Half Our Land And Property To Daughter And Husband

By Guest on 31st Aug 2017

We own a bungalow on a large plot of land. We are thinking of building another smaller bungalow in the grounds, having the whole sire valued and then my daughter and her husband buying half of everything. We don't have a mortgage ourselves and can fund the new build. My daughter would need a mortgage. What would we need to consider i.e. can the house be in 4 names? Will their mortgage be affected by how old we are for eg will the term of their mortgage only be up to say when we reach 70? We know we would need protection for ourselves in the event of death or divorce but can this be done or would splitting title be better? We could get a separate access to the new bungalow.
