• Indemnity Insurance Flying Freehold

By Guest on 26th Oct 2019

I am going through the process of buying a flying freehold house but my solicitor has now said they I cannot get indemnity insurance a freehold property. One of the bedrooms from next door comes over above my kitchen. They said if it was leasehold it would of been fine.
Do I have to pull out now ? Is this right surely not

Flying freehold indemnity insurance covers freehold property - it's in the name...

I am just guessing but perhaps your conveyancer is saying that one or more of the policy conditions in the insurance is not satisfied and therefore it would not be effective? Take advice from your conveyancer or an insurance specialist on the matter.
