• The Lease Is Lost

By Guest on 26th Jan 2016

I want to buy a house with a 999 year lease. Land Registry does NOT have the lease on file. The Landlord (E&M, London) have a copy of the lease. Should I buy the house (without Land Registry having an acceptable copy)? I don't want an indemnity policy.
    Thank you.

You should ask the seller to submit the landlord's copy to the land registry and they are prepared to accept this and use it as an official copy then problem solved
