• Who Needs To Provide ID For A Transfer Of Equity If Joint Owned

By Guest on 06th Jan 2017

I joint- own a property with my brother. I would like to replace my name on the title deeds with my mother's. Whose ID do I need to provide for this? And will there be any stamp duty if it is transferred back to me later and I already own a main residence?

All three of you will need to have an ID1 form signed by a lawyer. There will be stamp duty payable when the property is transferred back to you if money changes hands or if there is a mortgage on the property.
