• Transfer Docs Before 2008

I am told that before 2008 you did not have to have an ID of the owner and a person trying to get joint ownership and you did not have to tell the owner, The F.Act from 2002 does not agree and all the signatures have to agree to the passport or Driving licence. Likewise a gift has to have both parties sending letters that they agree to this, and need proof and also the value of each part etc. I was told this was not needed at all, and just the TR1 was enough. He also said that it does not matter if the other forms are not filled or the signatures do not match! Before 2008 he said the parties did not have to have any ID's, and a TR 1 that was sent to the L.R. without the owners knowledge or agreement or sending in the TR 1 which was not meant to be sent anywhere and just to show a very small earlier loan was paid off

    Hello,

If there has been a fraud then irrespective of land registry rules at the time an offence has still been committed and you should contact the police.
