• Stamp Duty

By Guest on 06th Oct 2019

    Hi
I'm looking to purchase my first home next year. I was gifted a share of a property in another country which I no longer have. Would I still be considered a first time buyer? I would like to know if I need to pay stamp duty?
    Thanks

You would not be a First Time Buyer if your share in the property you were gifted exceeded a value of £40,000.
