• Seller/Estate Agent Failed To Disclose The Presence Of A Septic Tank

By Guest on 12th Nov 2015

We offered on a property in August, about 3 weeks later the Vendors advised that a Septic tank was present. This was not flagged in any of the Sales information by the estate agent provided before or after the offer was made. By the time we were made aware we had invested some £2.5K in fees, searches, Survey's. Some 10 weeks later the Sale has fallen through as a Survey of the Septic identified it had failed. Anyone know if the Vendor/Estate agent would be liable for costs incurred up to a point as a result of the failure to disclose?
