• My Solicitor Refused To Show/give Me The Signed Contract

By Guest on 12th Oct 2019

I have purchased a house, freehold, paid in cash, I requested the sales documentation, which was partially provided by attachment to an email, but the solicitor refused so send me a signed copy of the contract, even to provide me an online copy. What can I do?

Pay your fees. They can exercise a lien over your documents until you have paid them.

If you have paid all their invoices and there is no dispute but they still refuse to send you your document, raise the issue with their supervisor/practice manager or follow their complaints procedure.

Thank you very much, all fees haven paid three months ago, at the same time as the completion, and I am speaking with manager now and they still delay providing me the document. There was no dispute, they want an explanation from me why I want the contract.
