• Missing Text On Title Plans - Where Does This Leave Us As Buyers?

By Guest on 17th Jul 2015

Some of the pages of the title plan for the property we are buying have a bit of text missing, where pages have been seemingly cut off at the bottom. 3 clauses are therefore illegible. At first we thought this may just have been an error when the Land Registry digitised them but it has since become apparent that the original bears the same problem, and that the mistake was probably one made by developers back in 2007. Our solicitor is concerned this could cause a problem on resale? Is this likely? And what should our stance be?
We are under pressure to exchange/complete from our buyers so really need a resolution fast. It's not so much the missing covenants that concern us but the 'incompleteness' of the Title Plan.
