• Internal Non Load Bearing Wall Removed

By Guest on 16th Apr 2019

I am in the process of selling my house. 6 months ago I removed a single skin brick ground floor internal wall that was not load bearing, the top of the wall sat between two parallel joists, and there was nothing sat on top of it. I took pictures of the work before the ceiling was boarded over, to have proof of the structural layout. My buyer/his solicitor is requesting proof that the wall was non-load bearing, in the form of a structural engineers report. Apparently, they would need to cut the ceiling away to see the joists, all at my expense, where do i stand with this? Should i have got a structural report before i did the work?
