• Are Building Completion Certificates Always Necessary?

By Guest on 03rd May 2017

We are selling our house, it's never had any building work done to it, and was built 18 years ago. The buyers lawyer is demanding that they get a building completion certificate but upon speaking to the local council they only ever had one for the entire site. As it is 18 years ago and there have been no changes to the property would this be necessary? My lawyer is saying that it is not necessary but the buyers lawyer is insisting upon it.
