• Restriction For Remortgaging

By Guest on 05th Feb 2019

I have received an email saying there is a restriction on my property.

    The restriction reads as follows:
RESTRICTION: No disposition of the registered estate by the proprietor of the registered estate is to be registered without a certificate signed by a conveyancer that that conveyancer is satisfied that the person who executed the document submitted for registration as disponor is the same person as the proprietor.

What does this mean? And what do i need to do?

It means you requested an ID restriction be placed on the property when you purchased it. Now you need to identify yourself to a conveyancer to process any disposition relating to your property. You do not need to do anything unless you wish to sell/remortgage the property or make a similar disposition.
