• Indemnity Policy Regarding Becoming A Shareholder In The Management Company

By Guest on 20th Sep 2015

I recently completed my flat purchase last week and in the lease details it states I must register and apply to become a shareholder in the management company who act on behalf of the Freeholder. The past owner has no legal documentaion from recollection regarding ever being a shareholder (having the certificate) and as of such my solicitor has taken out an indemnity policy to override this condition. I have to register my ownership within 21 days of completion and I am unsure as to what to inform the company and whether I can tell them that I am now exempt from becoming a shareholder due to the policy or what. Please let me know where I stand with this.
