• A Clause In My Counterpart Lease

By Guest on 19th Aug 2017

Hi we are buying a new build which is leasehold, we will be purchasing the freehold after the 2 years. There is a clause in our counterpart lease that I would like with understanding.
    16. Conditions on alienation.
16.2 To give the landlord notice of every dealing with or underletting or transmission of the legal estate in the property including all mortgages or legal charges of the property within 28 days after the same shall occur and to pay to the landlord such reasonable registration fees (which shall not be less than £50 plus vat) as the landlord shall from time to time determine.

Does this refer to remortgaging and will it still apply when we purchase the freehold?
