• Where Is The Shared Ownership Percentage Recorded On Land Registry?

By Guest on 23rd Aug 2017

Hi, we are looking to purchase a flat which is supposedly owned 100% by the current owner - but it was originally a shared ownership flat and the two documents I have downloaded from the Land Registry (the lease and the title) don't show the 100% staircasing. The lease states 40% was initially purchased (in 2004) and the title says the price paid was £45,000 also in 2004 - there are no records of further transactions relating to additional shares being purchased, nor a memorandum of staircasing attached to the lease.

Is there somewhere else Land Registry keep this information/ or the memorandum?

The vendor has said they can provide the memorandum, but I'm worried the mortgage lenders will not accept that and demand that it is recorded via Land Registry somewhere too - but the vendor seems oblivious to this.
