• Transfer Of Share Of A Flat From A Son To His Mum

By Guest on 08th Dec 2016

I have a flat with my son, equal share. The flat is rented. Equity 40K, mortgage 121k.
My son wishes to transfer his share to his mum. Mortgage for the flat is always paid by me.
It is a leasehold property, 85 years lease. We are in the process of buying the freehold rights.

How should we do the transfer after the freehold rights is obtained in our name.
    Please advise.

As there is a mortgage involved you will need to employ a solicitor, so speak to one who specialises in conveyancing and he will be able to explain the process to you.
