• Is The Transfer Of Equity Kit Suitable For Someone Selling Their House (in Entirety)?

By Guest on 07th Jun 2016

I have done conveyancing, both buying and selling and including more complex cases such as leasehold, many times in the past, without any problems. My main sources of information on forms and procedures have been the excellent Which? guide and Michael Joseph's "The Conveyancing Fraud". However, both of these are at least 15 years out of date and no more recent similar books appear to be available. Would your "Transfer of Equity Kit" bring me sufficiently up to date? I notice that it is intended for situations where there is "at least one of the original owners remaining on the legal title and at least one being added or removed" - the former does not apply (this is a normal sale of a house by both owners), so I'm wondering if the kit is appropriate in our case?

The kit might assist you in some respects but it isn't really tailored to dealing with a sale. It doesn't cover pre-contract enquiries or exchange for example.
