I am completing the 'Contract' but am a bit confused by what to enter in the 'Allowance', 'Chattels' part. There is nothing extra to pay for just the agreed house sale price. Also is the Balance just the outstanding amount ie. purchase price less deposit?
I would be grateful for your advice. Regards Judy Williams

    Hello,

You've got it right yes. An allowance is a deduction form the purchase price to cover for example the cost of some repairs or a insurance policy. Chattels are fixtures and fittings that the buyer is paying extra for and the balance, as you say, is the price less the deposit
