• Rights To Contents Of House Following Completion After Removal Of Tennats In Common

By Guest on 28th Jul 2018

Following the passing away of both parents, a property was left to be shared equally as tenants in common to all three children. I decided to purchase the inherited shares of from the other two brothers. I partly lived at the property before passing away of both parents, all items in the property of any value were purchase by myself. One brother did declare everything in the property as scrap after going through and taking anyything he or the other brother wanted. THe house completed transffer to my sole ownership in February and now the two other brothers are trying to come back and claim items that were in the house. This includes some furniture that one brother claims he bought on his card and dad gave him the cash for. None of the other brothers lived at the property for a good few years. I have since cleared the house out of anything that was not mine and I did not want. What right dooes anyone have to come back and try to claim anything that was in the house. There was no inventory done of mum or dads possessions and there was no fictures or fittings list presented by the other two beother (the outgoing) parties on or prior to completion.
